Areas like Bay Street in downtown Nassau and the shops at Atlantis, Paradise Island house designer brand names, often at discounted or duty-free prices.
Shops of Baha Mar
Shop for something special from your favorite luxury clothing and jewelry brands (think Tiffany & Co., Tory Burch, Cartier, Bvlgari, Rolex) or try on some elevated vacation wear from Tory Burch, Lilly Pulitzer, and Vineyard Vines. Browse for gifts and souvenirs, or indulge in a glam mini-makeover at MAC.
Crystal Court Shops
Located between the Atlantis Casino and Coral Towers, Crystal Court is luxurious shopping area with all of the designer names you’d be looking for: Gucci, Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Cartier, Bulgari, and more! This is the place to go for an elegant handbag, designer watch, or top-of-the-line jewelry.
Insider Tip: Keep your eyes peeled for local designer shop Cole’s of Nassau to snag some unique women’s wear.
Marina Village
This 65,000 square-foot outdoor shopping complex has something for everyone, and its colorful buildings and waterside location provide a charming atmosphere.
Insider Tip: Don’t miss the live musical entertainment and Junkanoo performances.
Bay Street in Downtown Nassau
Stroll down Nassau’s central street for a unique collection of shops and enjoy the streetscape’s Caribbean charm. This eclectic mix of shops offers a little bit of everything and is just the place to find a one-of-a-kind memento.
Insider Tip: Check out the Island Book Shop for books about The Bahamas and Coin Of The Realm just off of Bay Street for fine conch and pearl jewelry.
There are also a number of independent retailers selling local crafts and handmade souvenirs.
Straw Market
The Bay Street Straw Market is one of Nassau’s shopping landmarks, and a must-visit if you’re looking for local crafts and an authentic experience. The straw market has been a Nassau tradition for over 70 years! At the straw market you’ll find jewelry, souvenirs, bags, trinkets, and more.
Insider Tip: Don’t be afraid to haggle! Vendors expect some bartering.
The Shops at Graycliff
Not only is Graycliff an excellent place to stay and home to five-star dining, it also houses a collection of shops unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere on the island. The Cigar Factory offers expertly hand-rolled cigars crafted onsite, the Chocolatier sells decadent confections of all shapes and flavors—and even lets you get in on the chocolate-making action—and the Heritage Village features creations by Bahamas artists.
Doongalik Studios
Created for the specific purpose of showcasing Bahamian art and heritage, Doongalik Studio is the place to go if you’re looking for an authentic souvenir unlike anything else. This restored colonial home houses works from close to 40 Bahamas artists and has everything from fine paintings and sculptures to masks and goatskin drums. This place is worth a stop even if you don’t plan on purchasing.
Insider Tip: Visit the Craft Cottage on the grounds of Doongalik for one-of-a-kind artisan creations.
Bahama Art and Handicraft
Just beyond the Paradise Island bridge you’ll find Bahama Art and Handicraft, a locally owned shop filled with crafts and artworks from 300 Bahamian vendors. From jewelry to ceramics to wood carvings, and glass, you’re sure to find a truly unique memento to remind you of your time in Paradise.
Insider Tip: You won’t find Bahama Art and Handicraft online. This mother-daughter shop is on East Shirley Street, about a mile beyond the bridge to Paradise Island.
