Beaches

On average, The Bahamas enjoys 300 sunny days a year, with water temperatures around 80 degrees – absolutely perfect conditions for experiencing our miles of beautiful beaches. Powdery white sand and sparkling turquoise waters stretch as far as the eye can see, and calm, shallow coastal waters are perfect for splashing, snorkeling, and sailing.

These brilliant blue hues need to be seen to be believed. In fact, they’re truly out of this world: just ask Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield. When asked about the views from the International Space Station, he said “The most beautiful to me are The Bahamas, the vast glowing reefs of every shade of blue that exists.”
